Hearth

A set of wisdom tools would be incomplete without the hearth, and in the o-rune, Othala, we find home, hearth, and inherited property.

In the Anglo-Saxon rune poem, Othala appears as ethel (estate):

An estate is very dear to every man,
if he can enjoy there in his house
whatever is right and proper in constant prosperity.

The rune stands for home and hearth and the things associated with it: prosperity and protection.
